Research

Dr. Perez is a researcher at IDOR and Associate Professor of the Internal Medicine Department at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her group investigates new diagnostic and prognostic tools in liver diseases, especially non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and complications of liver cirrhosis. Her research focuses on analyzing new biomarkers, the performance of magnetic resonance imaging of the liver, and other clinical, laboratory, and imaging tests in the diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of liver diseases.
