Research

My research group is interested in the fundamental cognitive mechanisms underlying human social behavior, moral emotions, values and decisions, including altruism, prospective thinking and cooperation. We employ functional MRI, neurofeedback, and other neurotechnological methods. I have co-founded IDOR in 2010 in Brazil and founded the Scients Institute in 2018 (www.scients.org), a pioneer science California-based organization pushing the research boundaries across neuroscience, perception, consciousness, physics and biology.
